RE: It's the frogsThe problem as I see it is that not only would I have to go to Quebec to get at Desjardins because that's where they're from,(BTW the litle plan worked as next morning small retailers sold the stock down to $11.75, just like they are doing right now) I would also have to go to Ontario, because that's where the trades took place.
Canada is the only major country that does not have a central securities commission, and that plays a big part in why foreign investors come here, which n turn is the major reason given for not changing. It is especially true of the Vancouver exchange which is little more than a money laundering operation, but it is true of Toronto too.
