First hand experience.  If an associate can't locate their shift or apostrophe keys, they're probably not suited to assess the suitability of a loan applicant.  Which, of course, is why CSFS stopped allowing their staff to make decisions, and just insisted on loaning to anyone with a pulse.

Please note, CSFS types: that's "loaning to", not "borrowing to".


Your point about Cape Breton is well taken. The staff in Nova Scotia and the rest of the Maritimes and Newfoundland are a substantial cut above the rest of the country. The associates found in larger centres are often the least qualified; paying minimum wage across the country will get you a different class of employee in each market.  Ten or twelve bucks goes a lot further in Moncton than it does in Toronto.
