On another note - quote on what Stuart Olson's clients did:

BMO Capital Markets managing director and chief investment strategist Brian Belski told the Financial Post in a video interview. He said that many Canadian companies have “found religion” around controlling spending in recent years, which has led to more debt repayments, better balance sheets and reduced costs.

Unfortunately seems SOX did not copy its customers.  Instead, higher costs and more debt, terrible balance sheet.  Oh and I forgot, they always say cutting cost and making the balance sheet better.  They just forget to go to church on Sunday.
