On the contrary. Ecuador has no right to to suddenly change the rules. Actually they should refund Kinross for their 1 billion investment.

Defaulting the debt was just plain criminal. There's no honor in Ecuador's actions. If I had to guess they refused to give Kinross investment protection guarantees and that broke the deal.
