RE: The Doman history lesson

RE: The Doman history lessonLike you said....a history lesson. Unfortunately, we all learn  by making mistakes....not by being right all the time! Time, US tariffs...especially in BC, and a poor BC Government that has plagued them for years, probably had a big hand in their demise. Looks to me like Rick was trying to trim the fat cats hand outs, as well as save the company with his accumen in Finance. Too little ...too late. A recession in the '80's bankrupted many flourishing business's.

I think with virtually no debt and keeping all operating mills on a lean and mean recipe, and his connections in the lumber industry by history, Rick Doman could be a family legacy to be proud of!

I hope so....this was a heart wrenching story of a family business.
