Authentix Ownership Change

Finally figured out how Authentix became a UK company. The Carlyle Group sold Authentix to Blue Water Energy LLP sometime this year. My search for deal details didn’t yield anything but the details are essentially inconsequential. What is anything but inconsequential are the companies Blue Water owns.
You can get brief company descriptions by clicking on the individual companies right here:

Authentix has always been the “problem competitor” for GFI. With this ownership change, GFI’s problem has gone from big to super-sized. The O&G expertise, global reach and infrastructure of the Blue Water group of companies dwarfs what Carlyle may have brought to the table in the past.

SICPA’s global connections were supposed to level the playing field and they probably did in some ways but this ownership change has imho once again given Authentix an advantage SICPA will have great difficulties competing with.

Seriously, KIDL? You "finally" figured out who owns Authinex? Wow, now I understand why you are working SH message boards for a living. Little secret dude, go to their internet site! Other than the art of scamming innocent investors, you know nothing more than the average reader of this board. You can’t research yourself out of wet paper bag if your mother’s RRSP depended on it… If you ...more

The flaship Bluewater Energy Fund 1 has a capital commitment of $861M. Not a trivial amount, but a relatively tiny allocation given the multi-trillion-dollar scale of the global oil&gas industry. Kid must kidding about how SICPA now faces much tougher competition from Authentix. There is zero evidence that Authentix will have a market edge because of its affiliation with Blue Water.

NDD: It’s not about the $861 Mil which btw represents the money they put into their investments and not what these investments are worth today which could be a multiple or a fraction thereof. It’s about what these Blue Water companies are all about, where they operate and what they do.   SICPA is no doubt a serious force in the track and trace / security ink / tax stamp ...more

Raptor: You will need a dozen or more posts to “burry” my Authentix change of ownership post. This is information which, in fairness to all participants, needs to be out there. I might be misjudging the importance of this event. If so, I’m once again all ears and would truly welcome opposing arguments.   The upside from the SICPA royalties have always been THE prime ...more
