Covid hit hard. A long with the acquisitions. Can only get better. It will come back with a roar!  Imo

COVID is an excuse for Covidiots. The company has a HUGE, relative to its size, WORKING CAPITAL DEFICIENCY, and by their own admission in MD&A is not sure if it'll EVER TURN POSITIVE and thus will require a CASH/EQUITY INFUSION to continue to operate. Given further expected LOSSES, at least a MILLION or more before it could break even, a BIG IF, it looks like it'll need to raise at ...more

I dont think Flyy would raise funds at these levels because of regulatory approvals & CSE requirements, it would bring in a new control position and Brainyak Brian would looses control, not a fan of Brain's management style thou Q2 results were not as bad considering 1st COVID era months were brutal, should see better Q3
Comment by Reallitycheck on Sep 02, 2020 1:24pm
Q3 better be better than Q2 as they can't afford to lose another $1m +. They simply have not anywhere enough cash to see them through. The only reason they even have any cash on hand is because they essentially stopped paying trade bills/payables to conserve cash, witness how the A/P jumped/increased hugely between Q1 and 2. Even if they only lose between $250k to $500k in each of next 2 or 3 ...more

So, Mr. Brain Knish seems to be invoicing around $10k in average total ad income, which is more or less his total revenue, each time he publishes one of his two alt weeklies. Looks like he's spending four bucks going out for every dollar he has coming in. Now, consider that his stated mission is to go out and buy another 98 of these alt-weekly money-pits -- not that there are that many still ...more

1 thing wrong with your analysis is - it wouldn't be Thelma from Gdansk, more like Ewa
Comment by PitchinPennies on Sep 05, 2020 3:38pm
That's odd. She told Mr. Knish her name was Thelma, like the lady in the movie, and if he wanted, she could call her friend Louise who might also come over to talk with Mr. Knish about buying an ad. Of course, Mr. Knish didn't give the ladies his real name, either. "They call me Buck," he said, "Buck Short." Then he smiled to himself, because he thinks he's clever.& ...more

You sure have a way with words. Maybe you ought to join FLLY to help them write better ... might help the stock price.

Mighty kind of you, RC. But it's not going to end well for any of Mr. Knish's investors, or especially his scribbling minions, right? We know that. He foisted share options on some of the poor hippie slobs who have been part of this, ah, movement for 20-30 years, and I guess the starving artists figured maybe this would be a way to leave something for their grandchildren, or at least pay ...more

Don't be so modest. You definitely have a way with words. On a more serious note thankfully I never invested and you're right about this not ending well. As things stand between the WORKING CAPITAL DEFFICIENCY and the so called LONGer TERM DEBT the company is $2+ mil in the RED. The $1 million Private Placement as part of the BUDTREE acquisition would have only SERVED as a TEMPORARY FIX ...more

Looks like a FRESH WAVE of SELLING is about to start or has already started. Could it be because NEGOTIATIONS for FRESH MUCH NEEDED FUNDS are NOT going too WELL ...

Everything, but everything, continues to blow up in Mr. Brain Knish's face. Now, for some reason, his much-promoted digital transformation has resulted in this error message on the Straight's digital edition: Can't distribute the print edition, and now the digital version is also missing in action. And then there's the not-quite-award-winning content. Consider today's ...more

C'MON MAN as Hunter's father Joe is fond of saying. Yes Ukraine is a big deal. After all no less than the President of United States was ALMOST USHERED OUT of the office because of Ukraine.  Also don't forget the company is listed in Frankfurt stock exchange and was heavily promoted by some German brokers as recently as February. I wonder how all those German investors who paid ...more

Hey, kids! Have some fun. How many abandoned and never-filled NOW boxes and racks do you think Mr. Brain Knish has in the greater Toronto area? Closest guess receives a free In Memorium notice (value: $129!) in an upcoming issue of NOW. Celebrate your bubbe's life in a loving tribute placed next to the ad from Hot Shemale Uma!
