RE:RE:RE:Global Minerals Proposed Mercury Production and EU Policy.DO

You say:

"Any and all mercury containing wastes will be closely scrutinized by the EU. No one in the EU is producing mercury waste in this manner and at this magnitude. No one at all. This is why this deposit has sat without effective development. And it will continue to sit. Look at the CTG website and reports there is no tangible resolution of this issue. So, there is reason for alarm."

The video of Bill Pincus on the home page of the CTG website addresses the issue of mercury. At 15 minutes into the video he suggest that there are two ways of extracting the mercury that they are looking at and have done quite a bit of work on. He then notes that they have been working with a third party offsite mercury recycler to take the mercury.

So, although maybe this does not qualify as "tangible resolution" of the mercury issue it certainly seems like they are in the process of addressing it. Personally, I have no idea of how much mercury is produced by mines elsewhere in the EU, however, I think it would become known very early on if the third party recycler that they are talking to was unable to take the volume of mercury extracted, as you seem to suggest.

I guess we wait on the PFS to see the details of the mercury disposal , but I won't bet on it being a stubbling block that brings down the entire project. As you point out, it is known issue - so why would all the money have been invested to rehibilitate the mine and get the project to this point if there was not a solution available?
