Home Capital Group Inc. is a Canada-based holding company that operates through its principal subsidiary, Home Trust Company (Home Trust). Home Trust is a federally regulated trust company offering residential and non-residential mortgage lending, securitization of residential mortgage products, consumer lending and credit card services. In addition, Home Trust and its wholly owned subsidiary, Home Bank offer deposits through brokers and financial planners, and through a direct-to-consumer brand, Oaken Financial. Its mortgage lending includes classic single-family residential lending, insured residential lending, residential commercial lending, and non-residential commercial lending. Its consumer lending loan portfolio comprises credit cards, lines of credit and other consumer retail loans. RE:50K tradedThis is why a company like First National is a better choice. They've been paying annual special dividends for consecutive years and currently pay a dividend with a 4.8% yield paid monthly. Their earnings have been awesome and I'm anticipating this Q4 report to be stellar. Home prices and sales volumes for Canadian real estate have been skyrocketing which means more loans and higher loan amounts for each mortgage. I think we're going to see them have an amazing Q4 report. Q1 for 2021 will likely be even better as sales volumes and home prices continue upwards. It's a no brainer.
