UpdateIntuit announced on Monday its Quicken Mortgage online home lending service changed its name to Quicken Loans to reflect its expanded and direct lending capabilities. The recent acquisition of Rock Financial Corp now allows prospective clients the ability to secure and close loans directly from the Website. Also in the news this week, Intuit and Concentrex (CCTX) formed an alliance to bring TurboTax to the Web. Concentrex will market and provide the portal for its 5000 financial institution clients to reach the urboTax site. The major online retail and internet related service sites such as Wal-mart.com and America Online (to name a few) will provide consumers the access to the electronic tax return filing service.
