Kinross Gold Corporation is a Canada-based global senior gold mining company with operations and projects in the United States, Brazil, Mauritania, Chile and Canada. The Company’s projects include Fort Knox, Round Mountain, Bald Mountain, Manh Choh, Paracatu, La Coipa, Lobo-Marte, Tasiast and Great Bear projects. Fort Knox is an open-pit gold mine located near the city of Fairbanks, Alaska. Round Mountain is a long-life, open pit mine located in Nevada. Bald Mountain is an open pit mine with an estimated mineral resource base located in Nevada along the southern extension of the prolific Carlin trend. Manh Choh project is in Alaska, located approximately 400 kilometers southeast of Fort Knox. RE:RE:I think this buy back is a really smart moveI am a long time shareholder and your point is also valid. I have been here when Tye  Burke was the CEO and made all of those bone head aquisisions that resulted in a huge delusion of the shares for very little return. Then we had the Russian fire sale that further deprecated the value of Kinross's share price. The fact that they have made this decision to buy back a boat load of shares for cancellation over the next three years sends a message to the manipulaters, they are willing to take this company private at these low prices. The last shareholders standing will make a lot of money and isn't this what it is all about.
