Why would there be a higher bid?

This looks like a done deal. Fait accompli..and I agree $57 in situ is LOW!  AR got a bargain!

So roughly $341 million for roughly 6 million oz Au in the m&i category?  Is that correct?  It seems like that is only $57/oz Au.  Has the market for gold really fallen this low ...more
