Benefits of the closure?
As you should know, ESL schools like KGIC Toronto get the majority of their students sent to them through agencies in other countries. These agencies are looking for good, dependable schools at which their clients/students can have a rewarding experience. Agencies want schools they can trust, and they have a lot of schools to choose between. Closing down schools because of an inability to pay rent may not be the best way to instill trust in these agencies. Imagine a student who, after much anticipation, has just arrived in Canada last week and started classes February 1, only to discover their school is shut down February 2. Imagine the agencys reaction. Its not really good for their business. Reasonable consequences of this would include cancellations of registrations that have already been made and a decline in future registrations to all KGIC Inc. schools, as agencies send students to more reliable, financially sound schools. Actually this is what has been going on for months now, and the trend does not seem to be reversing. Looking for the bright side of this closure is a pretty desperate stretch.
