RE:RE:This is just weirdYa, it makes it appear a waste of money & time when commissions factor in. Sometimes an individual buys 2500, then 10000, sells 12000, has 500 remaining, & then dumps that. Sometimes people don't have the know how, money, or guts to step into a company so they take up a very small position. Sometimes groups want to murky the waters, so price control can't be seen. Its easy to walk a price with small trades... I wouldn't do it. Its all part of the ecosystem. You also get shorts, longs, day traders, swing traders, people who trade off indicators and have a set period they hold for, etc. That's what makes investing interesting. It goes on and on.
