Vancouver has pledged to become 100% renewable…. And it’s been done before, elsewhere, around the world. That’s actually the new saying being passed around 100% renewable. It’s no longer going renewable…it’s 100% renewable. Germany has something like 80 communities now that are 100% renewable & 60 more set to come on line. So, I am imagining France will have a good roll-out as they are hosting the big summit in December. US/China are on board. One big obstacle will be Harper, he just doesn’t get it. But, I think he’ll be gone by then. The bottom line is, businesses and people want to be in areas that are clean & green. And, that’s where we are heading. 2015 is being touted by some involved in this sector as the year of renewables. I say 2016 will be the year of renewable stocks. AXY growth is something like 40% year over year x2. And, with an uncharted movement coming by government, gaining superb momentum, the market value of AXY cannot be known for 2016. But upward pressure will be intense. The market will make it what it will be. It is one of the safer plays out there. Good product, a world addicted to energy, coming dividend, and a population who is about to make the green movement now. Seoul, a city of 11 million and growing has said 20% of its electricity will be renewable by 2020. Imagine the size of Alterra in 2020. They have connections all over the world, and this summit is going to lite some fires creating quicker action and quicker growth. Dirty oil politicians are going to disappear. Renewables creates more jobs, and greens our planet. And, voters will choose clean and green areas. Alterra is still screaming accumulate. How exciting !!
