Things I Am Thankful For; A True Leader's Vision; TedTalkIt is a week to be thankful for things here in the US.
First, I am thankful for people, not things.
Second, to be board focused, I am thankful for the opportunity to invest more due to the market over reaction at low (gift giving) prices. Although, I must admit, I hope to never see the low 3's US or below 5 CAD ever again!

I continue to wonder how Trump is going to reconcile the destruction of high paying renewable energy, technology, creative thinking jobs for low-paying, environmentally unfriendly, traditional energy jobs? People seem to cheer two $40,000 jobs is better than one $100,000 job (for example, not actual salaries). I don't get it. Fear is a powerful force, especially in transitional periods.

In my opinion, a true leader, who want to build something great and create jobs as well as transform mindsets would hire the traditional "blue collar" workers and re-train them into the new energy work force.
This would be a paradigm shift from the traditional coal, gas and oil into renewable energy and new master grid. Instead of hiring coal workers, have them build a new grid and new renewable power plants. Instead of shutting the door on trade, set up manufacturing plants for renewable energy in North America and become competitive or a world leader in the industry.

My scores: Idea (7 - nothing original?); Team (7 - Mr. Beaty keeps high), Business Model (8 and improving, but still determining, might be lower???), Funding (9 - Mr. Beaty's backing, just did amazing capital raise, refinance was completed, but disappointing on terms???), Timing (10 - renewable energy is the future).
