Hours Away From The Annual MeetingWe are just a few hours away from the annual shareholder meeting.
The past year has seen several accomplishments:
- Increase in production
- Refinancing of Iceland loans
- Capital raise
- Additional project announcements
- Potentially the only renewable energy company producing in solar, wind, geo and hydro
- Opening an office in the USA
- Restructing the management team
So why some of the frustration on the board?
There seems to be some confustion or miscommunication between management, the board and the smaller shareholders and the market. I might add setting expectations might be one of these areas.
It is interesting to me that Katusa can meet with Mr. Beaty and John Carson, but you and cannot have such access, well, I guess we can annually. Actually, if you reach out to the company, they are pretty good with returning calls and e-mails (you may not get the CEO, but you will get attention).
I believe by reading the posts you can tell the bears from the bulls on this board. It is easy to beat up company and be a bear when the stock is down. Likewise it is easy to be a bull when the stock goes up.
My last minute prediction would be a contrarian to the bears. Over the weekend I mention to purchase shares on Monday, seems like an OK move so far...we will see if that holds true in a few more hours. The stock needs to hold the $5 CAD line.
I would continue by typing the shorts might have read into the meeting being on Thursday and earnings release being on Friday too much, trying to inturpret later in the week is "bad" vs. early in the week is "good". These dates probably have more to do with Ross Beaty's travel or vacation schedule than anything else...once again we will see if this holds true in a few more hours...
Finally today, if the annual meeting goes flat to bad, nothing happens to the stock. I believe it is prcied in (or was last week). If the meeting goes slightly okay to amazingly positive we can see upside.
If anyone attends, please posts updates...not able to make it this year due to a filly...

PS This is the year to execute, they should not have any more excuses as they have had time, capital, patience, growth, gaining of experience...if there is another bad quarter or two I may need to change my post name to this year's derby winner LOL
