There are definitely several advantages to a totally self-contained environment obviously you have already elaborated on the vents to control temperature allowing contaminants into the greenhouse there's also another big factor bugs being somewhat knowledgeable and exposed to Greenhouse operations it is a major expense to control bugs they generally rely on what is known as Predator bugs which are very very expensive which they release in the greenhouse to track down other bugs and kill them off. That as well as the things you have mentioned with temperature and contamination control makes the self-contained environment a major major asset
