As a resident of Alberta, I would point out that our oil deposits have not gotten up and walked down to the US. They are still in the ground.
Why is GM closing the Oshawa plant? Because the cars that are made there are not selling. It seems you believe GM should continue manufacturing those cars and what? Stockpile them somewhere in the vain hope sales rebound soon?
