NML RTO

Price absolutely stinks.. Labmag and Kemag with billions of tons of ore being given away for free.. as are the port facilities worth many millions.. .. it's a great deal for the vulture venture calitalists. who have a non operating shell company with $5million in cash and $5million in debt doing a reverse takeover of a company with $12million in cash and investments and no debt.. and once merged we get 17% of the merged company ??? !! ..  I have been long this stock for over a decade .. will not be voting for this lousy, awful, dreadful deal..

What is the rush to sell.. the assets owned by NML would be worth far more to an existing Labrador iron ore company.

Long story short... if you have shares and the new company / parent company is successful the share price can be expected to go up.  The lower your average and the longer you hold for that success to kick in then the better off you do. You invest and hold in a good company when you are optimistic on it's future propects.  When that may happen is up to what happens in the markets ...more

I strongly agree with you. I do value James opinion but on this I differ. I have held NML close to a decade - from 2011 - my single major loss. Have added on the drops still way off on average price. Held on the belief that this is a gold mine but just sitting on assets and particularly since they are kind of cash flow neutral and can incubate till the ripe time. This is a shitty offer as far ...more

We don't have enough info to say yes or no yet. Abaxx will provide more info on their business and plans before the vote. To say it's a bad deal, or that the value of the deal is at $0.08, is based on nothing. You may notice that the FINAL tranche of the private placement was executed at $0.80. That means that someone was willing to pay $0.80 in earlier tranches pre-RMO approval, so post ...more

JOBUSHEMA - do you not think the properties have been marketed by management?.  The truth is there is no appetite in the world at this time for multi billion dollar projects.  Look at Tata - they gave up on their option on the most attractive properties.  The truth of the matter is that holding these properties becomes more and more expensive as time goes by and NML doesn't have ...more

@Contrarian,  Excellent point, and something I didn't touch on in my previous post about the Abaxx deal. The carrying cost for mineral properties in Newfoundland & Labrador escalates substantially once you get past holding them for 20 years. Obviously the government wants to incentivize production and disincentivize hoarding of the properties (see below for the fee schedule on ...more

I seen no "chance of going bankrupt in three years" because NML has no bank debt. Without combining with Abaxx, the only problem I see is future dilution.  If NML does combine with Abaxx, NML has to accelerate the inevitable dilution to this year. And a combination with Abaxx will not necessarily prevent future dilution because nobody really knows if and when Abaxx will get cash ...more

@Alfredh0rg, You are correct that NML doesn't have any bank debt, and that they have the ability to potentially raise capital through an equity raise. That being said, NML was trading a $0.04 CAD prior to the announcement of the Tata and Abaxx deals, less than 50% of its working capital at the time. Should this deal not go through NML's stock would likely go back down to that level again. ...more

Well put. I nominate Labcityminer  to negotiate a better deal.
