Yes I think they were already mentioned as 1 of the top candidates. Private company right?

Im not so sure Teine Energy is the best suitor as they have no cash. They gave recently bought (major financings) land off Baytex and Westfire...and more recently Long Run Exploration. The Canadian Pension Plan seems to have big say in what Teine does for aquisitions, they'd have to front alot of money and/or participate in yet another equity investment. Wouldnt Whitecap or Raging River ...more

My concerns with this one are....................... Why did they have to put themselves up for sale???? If there was enough interest, this would not have been required.  Somebody would have just come in and bought them for $1.60 - $1.90. When you have to put the For Sale sign out, that is typically not a good sign..............................

Gaswell, Putting the sale sign out may or may not be a good sign. It is a way of increasing intrest and forcing potential bidders to make an offer at a certain time. If it is done out of necesity and the asset is going to be sold for whatever they can get because the seller is out of cash then yes it is a bad sign. That is not the case here. Well lets hope it doesnt turn out like Galleon Energy 2 years back. Up for sale, no buyers, management lost crediability, stock plundged. They changed their name to Guide Exploration and were forced to reverse take-over with Westfire. I got caught on that deal. It wasnt great...however the chart for Longrun is looking great. Ive held NVS hoping to get a better deal. I think its our best interest ...more
