Prediction

Everyone has given their predictions as to when something will happen, previously I thought that we would have a press release the week before Xmas, but I guess that ws too much to ask. In my opinion, I believe that a news release will be coming out next Monday, April 1st and hopefully it is not an April's fool day joke. I base this prediction on the fact that the company has had more than ample time to make this deal, mgmt. "appears" to be MIA til the 2nd, Q1 has been completed, production/profitability will only add further value and my patience is diminishing rapidly. Thoughts???

I'm more concerned with what the takeout price might be than the exact timing.  Any time in the next month is fine with me, depending on the price.  $1.40 would be nice.

Poker, I still believe the price will be $1.70+ for these assets.

Total buy price with Debt $1.70. I can agree with this.   But can you or anyone explain...   What's the future upside for the purchaser if they buy the Novus assets for $1.70? Is there more then $1.70 of value there ?  Maybe this is the question thats taking so long to answer.

Counter, if we had the Q4 results, we could answer your question with less doubt. I think that the company is starting to show reasonable profits and net income for 2012 could exceed $10M.  From the financials the tax savings pool was in excess of $250M which would encompass a great portion of the debt and by my calculations the company should be worth a minimum of $2/share which would give ...more

Luckythor,   from what you say, it seems to me that the best thing that can happen to NVS is to be left alone to grow the company -  to increase the net cash flow to such a point it can start a small dividend -  then it can be a growth and income story. This will require patience and a couple of years -  but NVS  in a copule of years will no longer be considered a " ...more

Hey LuckyThor,   Can you explan to me how the $250M tax pool helps Novus out.  Its a large number but what does it do? and Further what value is it to the share price?

A while ago the response from the company I got is that Q4 will be released mid-April.  IF we hear anything it will before this.  I'm not holding my breath.  The management mis-step will cost them at the GM I think.

The market is saying 100% no deal.  Not that it is what is real but because this "process" of tanking value has taken so long, and there are so many other companies that give actual returns for your money out there, share price is trading at this non confidence level.  I think the AGM will be very interesting.  This one I won't miss.  Also, they better get some ...more

But if they don't plan to sell, you'd think management would be hustling to get ahead of the curve with a new presentation, operations updates, year-end, reserves...Which brings me back to a mediocre bid like $1.25 being management's exit move.
