On a serious note - no shortage. Do you know how many people have been growing and selling without any license, etc.? Cause the gov. decided to give them the opportunity of a lifetime before "killing off" the black market. Guys have storefronts all over the place in Toronto. Sales through the roof, mad bags of cash. Trust me - no shortage they can't cover. People won't care who they buy from. In fact, in Ontario, with our wise "order-online-get-it-sometime-in-the-mail" system (lol) people might not even bother going through the trouble of buying it "the legal way". Have you ever ordered a beer to get it few days later in the mail? Exactly. lol
That`s a very good point, so let`s say the long weekend starts in 3 days - do you place your order now and hope it arrives before you head to the lake. I can go anywhere and buy a nickel bag within 15 minutes and most times it will kick the absolute tar out of me. Or just call your local dial-a-doper, the stuff will be at your front door in 10 minutes. Any little hiccups in the online purchase and delivery system and you can bet users will buy from more readily available sources. The stuff is everywhere already so I can certainly see the wisdom in an over supply scenario playing out. There will be many stumbles out of the gate for delivery and not everyone will want to drive to the local dispensary for various reasons. So once enough customers get peeved at wait times and having to get of their butts to go pick some up, I`m pretty sure the dial-a-dopers will renew a brisk business model - it will be legal for them to have it in their possession....hmmmm. Looks like maybe the market is re-thinking supply versus demand, hence the sell off pre legalization. If your brewing beer in your basement and are reasonably happy with your results - do you really care about the new trendy flavors being offered at the local liquor store. maybe I`m not so sure anymore about demand out pacing supply. Very speculative and a lot more money will be lost if those numbers disappoint.
