Ummm if the deal goes through your stock does not rocket up. Each 1000 becomes 33 CMED shares and goes down to around 89c based on CMED share price

Here are the scenarios I see... 1) If the merger goes through, HIP is agreeing with CMED that shares are worth less than $1. Why would investors buy HIP just for a guranteed loss? 2) If the merger does not go through, SP will slide to ~$1. I think the merger will go through and that anyone who is buying above $1 is effectively donating their money to charity.  Also, once the merger goes ...more

Those whom are buying this stock are shorting it....sometimes when a company announces they are bankrupt the price will go up.  It’s short buyers buying so that they are coverd on the certain short.

Why do you think the price goes to a buck if the deal doesn't go through? Doesn't HIP get 9 mill if the deal is cancelled?
