Not only was a buyout underway, but I know for a fact from someone at OLE that the deal was done and just awaiting signatures and it got called off at the last minute.
I believe that is why Chet stopped drilling as he thought he would have his money by now... Bad move to stop drilling as he could have exploited new targets, hit more high grade gold, etc. Drilling would have in noy way impacted the Update or feasability.
Now at OLE, they all just sit on their thumbs, play solataire and keep adding zeros to thei bonus as the share price goes down. PG says OLE drills for Ore, not investors. Well, now they are not drilling for anything...
