Implats wont make a higher bid unless a competing bid appears. They already have  a clause saying they have the right to match any offer.


   I looked at the Implats web site. I looked at their presentation of their buyout of PDL ( North American Pall.) What stuck out to me was the large sum of money they needed to finance this deal! Implats does not seem to be that strong financially. Even if they have that clause allowing them to match a higher offer, I think, they would have difficulty raising the additional funds if a really big boy were to make a superior offer, say, a 50% premium over the last price before this crappy deal !!
