Mundiregina Resources Canada and Abba are sueing for 50 M. $

In one of two lawsuits filed this week in Quebec Superior Court, St. Catharines, Ontario-based companies Mundiregina Resources Canada and Abba Quebec Resources are jointly seeking $50 million in "compensatory damages" for the "illegal and disguised expropriation" of their dozen oil and gas exploration permits on land in the Gasp and Bas-Saint-Laurent.

In the other lawsuit brought against Quebec, the Toronto company Altai Resources is claiming 15.5 million in “compensatory damages” as a result, too, of the “illegal and disguised expropriation” of its five hydrocarbon exploration permits. on sites in the vast "geological region of the Lowlands" of the St. Lawrence (the regions on both sides of the river, from Quebec to the Ontario ...more
