Lac De Gras permanent road? This article talks about the shrinking ice road season each and every year --
Ice Road - Lac De Gras Area Would be one h$ll of an expensive road....and the road is not hte costly part...it would be all the bridges and/or culverts that would add up to a pricey price tag.
If the longevity of Gahcho and Jay pipe, etc. depend on a permanent ice road being built...it may shrink the operating costs of DO27 a slim bit.
Ekati is starting to develop lynx pipe that is 30 km's away from the mill and is 0.8 cpt on a 1 million tonne reserve.
DO27 seems uneconomic...but DDC is squeezing value wherever it can. I'm sure DO27 will be squeezed as much as possible to see it can produce a single dime.
