RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Baffin Island MineI can almost guarantee you there will be on site dorms (as you've stated EKIM). About the maximum I will run my workers is approx.100kms (max.), after that it is no longer cost effective. They will also want to be paid for that time on the road, plus the other issue becomes safety related. The more personnel on the road, the more likelyhood of something happening. This then becomes a liability on the company.
Everybody would like to sleep in the own beds at night but there are only so many concessions that can be realistically made. Bus in/bus out on two week rotations.This is what has been found to work the best for all parties involved.
