Water permit renewal
The water permit renewal is still under comment period.
It has been extended to April 13th on the request from INAC.
So far...the only comments come from the ECCC.
ECCC recommends that the proponent:
a. Provide a description of all the water quality monitoring stations within the Chidliak project, this includes Ch-6, authorized water sources, Sunrise Lake West, “Y” Lake, and Deep Hole McKeand River.
b. Identify how locations with the potential to collect and discharge water (trenches, drilling, excavations, and drill waste disposal areas) are monitored to ensure that water is captured and tested prior to release.
c. Identify the distance between water collection locations from surface water.
Nothing dramatic. This is a renewal...so should not have to many bumps in the road.
Together with the Land permit renewal coming up...the project will be in good stead for the next 5 years as is. Once that is out of the way, the work on the real permits can start.

Obviously somebody with the ECCC is not doing their due diligence because all that information is part of the original permit and is also contained within the yearly reports. Sometimes it is just people asking questions for the sake of being heard or justifying their job. Ekim, were any of the geologists at the AGM? Cheers

I have yet to see anything formal about Peter Meredith?

Forgot to ask. I'm sure one of the board members would have known some reason why Peter was moving away from the position. Don't think we will see anything formal. LONG...PGD EKIM

Lousy HR if they don’t make an effort to at least thank him for his service. It’s not like he was a low rung member of the company, who are important, before someone jumps down my throat, but ya know what I mean...yes, no? Just another example of poor management culture, IMO.

Why wouldn't they thank him? I'm sure they did. I don't think Peter's ego needs to be massaged by having an official press release announcing how great a director he has been. Truly, a star of the industry. ...but I don't know Peter. Maybe he needs the attention. Why spend money on the legal fees for a news release? LONG...PGD EKIM

Who said anything about a press release or a big party or parade? Web sites are there for a reason, yes, no?

Yes, no? You remembered Mike, who used to say that almost every other post. The good, the bad, and the ugly...it’s all here.
