Touquoy LoM

I didn’t forget about this blog, but I was out of the country for a while. I still don’t think the average shareholder deserves to be burnt on propped up quary results so I was wondering if some of you can crunch some of the latest numbers. So my biggest concern with juniour mines is when they chase the high grade only to kill the entire project within two years. If you look in their latest presentation at the LoM for the Touyouy ore resources shows roughly

2018 - 73.5k *
2019 - 96.2k
2020 - 93.5k
2021 ~ 90k
2022 ~ 40k

2018 expected to come in at high end of guidance despite an 8 week delay and this number is low.

Most of the presentations have the ore body as 10.1 Mt at a cut off of 0.4 g/t with a higher than current strip ratio. Unfortunately, their new cut-off of 0.25 gpt creates a cloud of smoke that’s hard to crunch through. Hopefully, someone can crack the veil and figure out the time to the bottom of the pit. The data so far indicated 2.1 Mt will be through the plant by EoY and another 2.1 Mt stockpiled. At this rate the 10.1 Mt ore body will be mined out by mid 2020. Unfortunately we don’t know the size of the ofebody with a cutoff of .25 gpt. Maybe someone can back peddle the data and try to figure out the entire mass of the pit including over burden. That might provide a better indication of where they are as we have the total material moved at 5.7 Mt at end of Q3.

My gut, my sources, and what I can glean from the data indicate this company is driven on producing high quarterly results, which they can easily do until about the end of 2019. (Q4 & Q1 may be lower than Q3 when the crusher, tailing facility, and mine roads start freezing up) At the end of 2019 the pit will be smaller and trucks, drills and shovels will be congested at the bottom. At that time the blast delays will increase, the tracks will be walked off the equipment, tires will be cut on tight turns, ground and blast control will become a large concern, pumps will need to be shut off and moved every blast which will increase the likelihood of frozen dewatering lines.

They tilted the mirror so it look good now, but focus the mirror on the back end and see if they can produce at the current income until FMS comes onboard.

My apologies for articulation. I’m writing this on a phone while sitting in a plane, but I figure this will provide some interesting fodder for the astute investor to spend a bit of Sunday looking into (or not) and commenting back on. Invest wisely, keep your money in your own pocket, and make those option earning crew earn their money instead of handing it to them freely.

Very interesting, ProtectTheQuan. As for those Touquoy annual estimates, are they those in the company's plan?
Comment by ProtectTheQuan on Nov 18, 2018 10:02pm
Hi Nilyab The year over year gold priduction is from page 12 of their latest presentation, and material moved from page 32 with the exception of the EOY stock pile estimate which was from the conference call transcript. The 10.1 Mt is from the latest fact sheet. I’d like to see a reference to the total material that needs to be moved. Now that the cut-off grade changed its all smoke and mirrors ...more

What is your agenda? Take a sleeping pill and sell your  stock.
Comment by nilyab on Nov 19, 2018 3:14pm
Salzburg1, I believe that ProtectTheQuan sold his stock long ago. He or she seems to have a very intimate and refined knowledge of gold mining, so, even he (or she) has an agenda, I think the right way to respond is to ask the company representatives to provide rational replies to the points made by ProtectTheQuan. Remember, the point made by this poster appears to be that more information should ...more

I am not questioning his  knowledge. Obviously he knows his stuff. I just question his reason for posting. Once I sell a position I move on. Period.  I still don't know his agenda. Have a good day.

Anyways, ProtectTheQuan aside, Salzburg1, let me speculate a little wildly here, in case my hunch is correct. I think it's around here that the remaining short positions are being closed, after which I think the stock will rise again.

protect...for the Touqoy pit , it's like any pit that's been mined and will have it's ups and downs.. now they are stating more ore then expected and will drill this off were tailings were removed ...time will tell... for yourself as you are so gifted and want to help us out so badly , why didn't you call in at the conference call and question management with your enquireries ...more

Idlefreebird, since I am into making wild speculations today, let me guess that ProtectTheQuan is a gold mining expert who is working for some outfit considering a bid on AGB.
Comment by idlefreebird on Nov 20, 2018 6:04pm
nilyab , your giving this guy way to much credit... you took hook line and sinker...he's just looking for attention has nothing to do with the mining industries but is educated enough to read manuals and express his thoughts without knowing any mining facts...there isn't enough people here for him to affect a stock price...the main man that will decide our faith is Ryan Beedie...he holds ...more

IdleFreeBird, I'm all in this stock, and not getting out. What does the fact that Beedie controls this stock have to do with whether anyone wants to buy him out? I'm sure he would be interested in a good buyout offer. Why wouldn't a buyer be a party represented by someone like ProtectTheQuan, who, it appears to me, is appropriately skeptical like any really good analyst? This is not ...more

Thanks Nilyab. I hope you are right in that the analyst will ask the right questions, and if this blog can provide a source of questions the I hope they are reading it. I know I was glad to get some numbers on the stock pile and if anyone on a future investor call or presentation is listening please please o please ask what the life of mine for Touquoy is and what measure we can use to judge ...more

Question. Do you write so in depthly on other stocks? If so can you please let me know which ones so that I can avoid them? Or is AGB the only one that you won't shut up on? I guess if you shut up maybe then you would either miss out on fulfilling your agenda, or being paid, or both?

nilyab, i with others just got taken out not to long ago with Integra gold by Elderado..management sold us out for peanuts as they had no real skin in the game...we got lowballed and they recomended it to shareholders as they just received there options ,after delaying a resource to make sure options were granted...they didn't understand the true value....here Atlantic has the knowledge and ...more

$3.00 is starting to look as distant a goal as the next pit. From the looks of the sell off going on today, I would say someone finally did the math on this place.
Comment by nilyab on Dec 04, 2018 4:58pm
The stock price has from my impression of watching the daily trades and volumes, been driven down on small volume with nickel and dime transactions, largely from the Anonymous house (you have to wonder why). If my impression is right, then someone has indeed done the math, and wants to drive down the price before making a buyout offer. That is, once some big party, one with the ability to do the ...more

If Protect The Quan is incapable of doing the necessary research himself then it shows he is lazy and his opinions aren't worth a pinch of salt because he has not educated himself to the necessary degree about what AGB is doing and why. He should just ring Sean Thompson for a chat but I suspect he hasn't got what it takes to do that.  Touquoy is just the start  and when that has ...more

You guys are unfortunately doing yourself a disservice by ad hominem attack, which sounds a bit like a certain president's attack on the free press. Ad hominem attack is a sign of weakness, which makes you look bad. How about everyone in this thread phone the company and try to clarify these issues? That includes me.
Comment by ProtectTheQuan on Nov 21, 2018 6:39am
Unfortunately, management knows answering any questions on these threads will open a PR nightmare. If someone does get through ask them to update their preasentation to include a recent aerial photo of Touquoy showing the south ramp and pit limits with the tailing facility removed. I’ll use my uneducated mind to set up an oval, gauge the depth, and do some calculus 101 to figure out the area and ...more

I didn't have a chance to phone Investor Relations today to bounce your points off of them if they want to reply to them. I will just paraphrase your points, ProtectTheQuan, from the screen. Let's see later this week if there were some insider, likely Beedie, buys as of late. If Beedie is buying, he for one at least would likely be thinking the stock price is too low. I do assume he ...more
