Stillwater Mining Hits 3-Yr High As BB&T Sees Takeover Opportunity15 hours ago 03:55 PM EDT, 07/02/2014 (MT Newswires) -- Stillwater Mining Company (SWC) is trading nearly 3% higher and just off a new 3-year high of $18.70 in the wake of a research note from BB&T Capital Markets calling the company an "attractive takeover target." as a result of a favorable cash position, geopolitical footprint and improving cost curve.
Stillwater Mining develops, extracts and processes palladium, platinum and associated metals.
At $18.46 into the close, the stock is higher for the sixth consecutive day.
