RE:RE:Bailout coming, Trudeau Election GambitYou are probably not entirely incorrect in your response...perhaps the 20,000 jobs lost from Air Canada alone may be something to be worried about..today Bombardier shed 1,600 jobs. The main issue is how fast can these jobs get back to pre-pandemic levels. Imagine being an airline staff who was laid off, now you have to reapply and compete with newer applicants perhaps at lower wage to have your job back...might work out for the airline from a cost basis but the Government will take a serious hit in the election ..... Again not to mention the regional route cuts...these routes are not coming back anytime soon...I think these two factors alone should encourage the Government to provide an aid package sooner rather than later when it is too late...Air Canada will survive and will become a bigger player in the long run...after all people need to travel and cargos need to be shipped...we just might be getting into a ground floor of a new Air Canada ...imo...
