  • Normally I would agree with a potential take over, but in our case I would say no. One of the cornerstones for Plansee to supply tungsten is Almonty, which is probably why they have a big investment stake in Almonty.  To permit a takeover of Almonty is a big risk on their part for supply as well as controlling costs.
  • Furthermore, LB stated that we will not be in the business of downstream products, hence our only focus will be on mining. This leaves downstream products to Plansee and other Almonty customers.
  • Also LB, stated that we will be purchasing other mines, which would help Plansee to offer other types of ore to its customers.
  • In an interview with LB, he did talk about deciding to do business with Warren Buffets' IMC or Plansee, and he chose Plansee because they have a long relationship (plus it is better to be with the devil you know).  And Plansee is more focused on a reliable supply chain and we are only focused on guaranteed supply. The two company's are now virtically integrated in some aspect which will drive synergies and profits.  This will enable them to compete with the big boys.
