Mark Doremus, this has to do with what? I was talking about how much land Boerner owns and nothing about the Project area itself. In my estimation, it looks like he and his family own 360 acres based on the plat map I posted from the permit. I said nothing about how much land Aquila owns the surface to or how much they are leasing private or state mineral rights. Therefore your point, while true, is irrelevant because I never claimed anything to the contrary. Please pay more attention to the topic before posting these fact checks.
Also here is a fact check for you, I want pictures or proof of the burial mounds and artifacts you claim you saw yourself at the project site in the actual proposed pit area that will be destroyed. To this date I have not seen any and the permit showed a listing of historical site outside the project area. I know Aquila HAS found sites that neither the tribe or archelogists knew about because they paid for airborne and ground surveys(with ground penetrating radar) by 3rd parties. They were specificially:
COMMONWEALTH CULTURAL RESOURCES GROUP, INC.
2530 SPRING ARBOR ROAD
JACKSON, MICHIGAN 49203-3602
Kelly Hagenmaier, Project Archaeologist
Sandra Norby, Project Archaeologist
Mary L. Jeakle, Project Analyst
Eric Janulis, Project Archaeologist
Kent C. Taylor, Project Historical Archaeologist
Kira Kaufmann, Ph.D., Principal Investigator
Sean B Dunham, Principal Investigator
The archaelogical investigation report information is in part the original permit application in appendix F - Cultural Resources. All newly discovered and previously known areas were inventoried and classified according to the NRHP. If a site was determined to classify under the NRHP, a 30 meter buffer was put around them to isolate them from any mining operations to preserve it. Here is the map of the buffer areas in the project zone:
MAP So Fact Check for you and your buddies Mark, where is your proof of these sites that a 3rd party team of 7 archaeologists and the state missed?
Also I am still waiting for PTaurum to produce the survey he mentioned in the "
opinion poll 97% of land owners against a mine" post. Ironically you asked for that data too and did not receive it. Perhaps you should "Fact Check" him too and make some videos about it?
Cheers,
