Su and cnq have way underperformed Ath and bte and sgy and pey and so on and so on. Yes that's the talking head convention that large caps outperform early in a cycle, but newsflash, this ain't early anymore and oil has rallied from 40 to 60. Gas from under 2 to 3. Su and cnq are up, yes, but not 3 and 4 baggers of the small caps. Big investors, etf, passive funds, etc are not piling into oil stocks. It's us, the lowly retail investor, that is piling in. And we are still piling into small caps.
