Having watched the trading over the past two day, it appears someone (an entity) is liquidating a rather large position in ATH. The bids have been huge and the trading range has been very limited. The seller seems to be carefully liquidating their position without cratering the stock. They probably want to be out of their position by the end of the quarter. If this is indeed what is happening, who is doing the selling and, once they are finished, what will happen to the stock price? As for the first question - I don't know. But I think we all know the answer to the second question.  :)

Opposite: Sellers are selling to a buyer(s) who is accumulating and those 50M shares will be sold in a merger with MEG Energy and subsequent takeover by Cenovus as Heavy Oil will be short in the market for the foreseeable future. Investment bankers are gearing up for major transactions.

Yes we do all know the answer. As fantastical and entertaining as your allegation may be, I've heard it EVERY SINGLE MONTH since he bought in January of 2020. At 18 cents. No, he's not selling. This is pretty clear, somebody trying to keep down  the trade price  with  WTI  at $75.50. Something is broiled  with this kind of pattern.

Yeah,yeah. I've heard the same thing for 3 years all the way up from 11 cents. First one I recall was the "wall" put up at 20 cents. So, like every other imagined incident, there is no wall that will hold back the forces of the company fundamentals. Zero net debt. Huge cash flow. Very little capex required compared to typical producer stuck on a 20%, or more, production decline
