The properties are divided into three categories: office, retail, and industrial. I think anyone with a margin account should make 100% sure they will be able to meet a margin call should this decline like many other REITs have recently. Many REITs like PMZ, REI, DIR can still be sold for very good prices if necessary to ensure a margin call can be met. It really would be disastrous to end up being a forced seller at lows. I'm honestly not sure why some REITs are selling off so hard while others are almost immune. It really is a good opportunity to sell some of the outperformers in my opinion.
