The trend is clearly down https://www.barrons.com/livecoverage/pce-core-inflation-data-january-report-today and even Bidens WH press was saying that despite the monthly variations. They would really need to explain the reasoning if inflation goes back up....with 5.5% rates and sufficent 8-14 months to work through the system. would be an egg on their face indicating using a wrong tool now
