The puzzling part

The puzzling partAbout this inflation narrative is that they said covid shutdowns had permanently closed a lot of businesses particularly those that serviced the office- the food stations in the concourses and who knows what else. That alone was disinflationary as people businesses and their jobs. I dont know the % but based on my observation at Bloor/Yonge its quite significant.

And we had not much inflation from 2007-2019 with low rates.

I dont see any ww3 or hyper inflation or anything that warrants it to be high

just some capitalism at work with the anchoring of expectations being such a forefront topic in the news/media and financial markets past few yeasr
