The reality of the matter

REITs and financials are scraping the bottom of the barrel, have been dysfunctional since March, the 2 rallies we had were very brief and short lived. Will this time be any different?

I think it is huge that Artis has reclaimed $7. Global interest rates appear to be nearing their peak for this cycle, global freight is down, consumers are pulling back on discretionary purchases though there is still a lot of demand for services. Expectations are for interest rate cuts in Canada in 2024. Probably a few more months of choppy action and then rent will filter through to CPI and ...more

The recession might be nasty. They'll have to cut rates fast. Good for Artis and reits. Trading at a massive discount unle the bloated at risk residential market.

The March banking debable was a significant drop in longer bond yields...like over 50pts...unfortunately REITS sunk with the ship
