RE:Wejo Makes me wonder about the use of the word partner. If ever there was a word in this environment so vague with such impact on SM then that's the word. Went onto WEJO site because I was sure I read something about them having a AWS connection. Found one article calling AWS a partner and this one stating they run on AWS cloud. They also have Cyber Essentials certification I see, just as BB, a must have if you want to bid on UK govt contracts. As to what level, not sure. Be a fool to think competitors just sitting on their hands.

For $500m Microsoft probably could have bought all or most of BB patents and in this crazy world we could call them partners. Figure WEJO has something they like or consider a threat to either BB or their own research. For that kind of $ grrr they probably get to influence management and perhaps get their foot in the door for UK govt contracts.
