QNX and Cylance could easily remain joined at the hip, perhaps under the aegis of a holding company, in the very way that you point out with your examples. E.g., Dell & VMware. Also, QNX has already incorporated Cylance, so there's no going back on that. We might even see a spun-off IoT entity paying small royalties to a spun-off CS.
