Thank You Acuras1 !   Your appreciation is greatly appreciated. Since this is a long post, sometimes I need to recreate the post 3-4 times before It goes out...  Its a bit frustrating... Anyways, when I read or see (via Likes) your sign of appreciation, I know this info is appreciated and brings back blue skies .

Thanks July. Assuming the production follows Q1's last half back loaded rate productivity. We should have another 14 to 16 aircraft sold for the Quarter. So we should have from 26 to 28 out the door for Q2. Not bad if they surprise us and diliver by an extra 2, we may have 30 sold  for Q2. If that's is so (that we'll get 30 exported)? Then we should have about a $1.55B revenue ...more

Thank You BBDB859 !  Really appreciated. Yep...  Aircraft delivery numbers are looking good so far...   Hoping the rythm will keep up and improve with additional sales.  But, as we know, historically, Q4 is always the best quarter.  So lets wait and see... Go Bomber Go !

The root of the matter for Bombardiers's share price long term is the $$$ backlog.  All the rest - production cadence, ebitda, refinancing, equity raise, buyback, etc - is either in place, will be or is possible and doable.

Good point buddy. Without backlog we don't have anything to sell. That's why BT was so stable. Thanks Pablo.  Now lets see some sales to grow it. I think that once the 7500's 99.7% reliability is tested and passes the test from owners, we may see increased purchases.

BT was far from "stable" but I know what you meant.  Never let the well run dry, but also make sure the cost to fill the well is cheaper than it is to pull the water out.

No doubt about that Flamingo. I know what you mean too. Some of those legacy contracts, or some of the other newer contracts that they got we're just very expensively risky. But the backlog is what kepy them from going BK. That's now hopefully in the past for us. I just can't see them screwing up like they did with those legacy contracts. I'm hoping that Business jet backlog is ...more

Btw Flamingo. IMHO. When we compare the type of inventory that BA has to BT's inventory of the past. It's apples to oranges. BT's troubled inventory, was some what new, untried, untested, undeveloped technology (Legacy). That BBD sold, for low desperate price's so it can survive BK. They didn't take into account the real costs of development of that technology, and it bit ...more

859,  it would help if Bombardier had a safety net or nets (eg DA) like the competition has. Btw, sounds like you'll be golfing pretty soon. Have a good week-end.

Ya. Thanks. You too. It's Victoria Day long weekend here in Ontario. I hope to get some 10 holes in, this year though. This 9 hole course is perfect for an old guy like me. I intend to eat well this summer. They have full barbecue evening/nights by the lake where it's usually 10 degrees cooler, than the rest of the city, because of the winds over Lake Ontario. Last year I paid for a full ...more

Sounds like a real nice setup you have there 859.  By the way, I know Dassault makes good planes because an acquaintance owned 2 Falcon 20s and while they were gas guzzlers, flew them a lot and they were very reliable IIRC.  But, man is that company ever backstopped by the French government.  Here we like to eat our own to wit the disgusting photo of John Tavares on the front page ...more

I'm alright thanks. I'm not complaining. Thank god I ffel blessed. I don't like cottages, so I do a lot of other things to keep busy. Ya the French really do help their own industries in their sucess.   But you can't fault the French for the BBD thefts. The Beaudoins are the losers for giving away of the CSeries to them without money, and BT to Alstom for less than it ...more
