Bombardier Inc. > My take on upcoming Q results

My take on upcoming Q results

Bombardier has to show postive cash flow and show that they delivered all the aircraft for the quarter. If not then sp will slide. Q1 miss cant be blamed on supply chain and war. They should have had all the parts by the time war started. And aftermarket better show more revenue. But good Q1 doesn't guarantee sp rise if they reduce guidance delivery/revenue for the rest of the year. Backlog better grow and book to bill has to be above 1.0. This is a tall order. Raytheon which currently is the largest Aerospace company and a big supplier to pretty much every OEM supplying from engines to flight controls, flight deck instruments, and aerostructures, landing gear etc. already lowered there guidance. They also said Pratt Canada has few products that are directly impacted by sanctions. Pratt doesn't supply any engines to Bombardier but GE and Honeywell probably have similar parts issue. The special meeting will approve the stock consolidation. Thats what the family wants. Otherwise Bombardier wont be talking about it. Sp might go up because of good Q1 but and if rest of year guidance is reduced then it will do the slow bleed. If they consolidate with lowered guidance then expect shorts to have a fun with the sp. This is all my assumption all could be wrong or some or all could happen.

I agree with what you posted. Bombardier has  no room here for any misexecution no matter the excuse. If there is any slip at all the stock will get punshed especially since they have basically have come out and said there is no issues with supply chain. Hard to believe there is no gliches that are affecting others but we will see. Reducing guidance would be. disaster as it' only been ...more

Hey Bag. Finding it hard to say thank you? You've been asking questions here from day one. Three posters here answered the question u repeatedly kept asking the board yesterday about the Alstom/BT deal. and all us  Bull, Nobody & myself gave u good answered. Yet. I noticed that you haven't thanked anyone of us. I don't know about the rest, But I'm putting you on ignore. ...more

Hey bago ...you play basketball that you screw up dribble with drivel...       At least insult using correct wording...
Comment by BBDB859 on Apr 29, 2022 4:24pm
It's possible he's not the same poster as LE. His English is not quite there with LE's. This could just be on purpose though on LE's part. Bagel though, still wants us to listen to his drivel. Worse, his repetitive questions are so annoying, you just wanna to erase him the board. It's autistic. I'm dyslexic sometimes, cause I forget whole words in sentences. The reason for ...more

So you do read my dribble u SOB. Not a thanks for it either. Now I'm sure you're the same person as that LE. I was in a hurry this morning to put you on ignore. But that's exactly where you're going you ungraetful little pecker. You just can't thank someone here for answering your annoying repetative questions. You're not going to get one answer from me from now on ...more

Fundamental problem the last 10 years is the annual interest cost.  While its counterintuitive, raising equity would cause the share price to rise.
Comment by clubhouse19 on Apr 29, 2022 1:01pm
I would not be againsts that an equity offering be made after the RS if that money is used to reduce the debt  as it could be conceivable that the institutions may very well go along with that . It would not change fundamentally the book value of the company but may very well put the company in a better light.\  Raising funds with the present share value and float would leave IMO most ...more

I think you're right Club. I still don't like the idea of being diluted  Though when the  R/S is done we'll then I'm ok, for raising equity. I'm with you 100% though like you say, only if the cash going towards LDT repayment.
Comment by lb1temporary on Apr 29, 2022 4:28pm
Take care.  Replace money that cost 8% by equity costing far more is not a good idea for now.  Don't forget that Bombardier is in recovery; its profit are coming back. At each quarter, its profitability increase. That is more than a 8% annual cost.  That has been said, while we had more stability, after the actual phase of the recovery, when the production will be at 140 planes ...more

Hey Temp. Some background. Pablo is great with #'s, & Balance Sheet interpretation. He was a regular poster here but now that he got out of the Bomber he visits the Board only quartery. He didn't write enough for me to understand his reasoning on raising Equity, on today's post. I don't even know if the Family can sell anymore of their own shares, or are they going to dillute ...more

Obviously timing is everything and now at 1 US dollar it would be a tough pill to swallow. One thing I'm sure of: the debt and the interst thereon is the problem -  just not profitable enough to quickly overcome this.  If 10 years ago they had said no more debt and had either raised equity or started selling divisions to pay down the debt and fund their new ventures, Bombardier would ...more

If 10 years ago they stopped PB from going ahead with the CSeries against the duopoly, this size of debt wouldn't have happened Period? But it is what it is. Now we gotta survive with what he's given to us.
Comment by stockitnow on May 01, 2022 10:10am
Easy to say that now. At that time PB was countering MRJ and E jet as CRJ was old design and boxed in. No one expected neo and MAX to happen, aeropsace analysts were also taken back by re-engine move. Industry was expecting all new design narrow body from Boeing and Airbus to counter with 320 replacement. PB cant be blamed for C series, in fact he had in so many interviews mentioned that.
