They're Still Getting It Wrong - Piano Hi Pianoman, thanks for pointing to a problem you have with my description of CSeries' seating capacity.
To be more precise, and we must keep in mind that these are suggested seating capacities, and airlines can and sometimes do opt for layouts which exceed.
CSeries 110, the first CSeries expected to start deliveries at the end of 2013, is designed for "layouts from 100-to-125 seats. The C130, expected a couple of years later, should be designed for layouts of from 120-to 145 seats.

So, let's just say we were both somewhat less than accurate.
The important consideration here is that CSeries is not intended to compete head to head with the 737-300/400/500/600/700/800/900s and 318/319/320/321 models and it can't possibly be expected to compete with the much larger and wider range of seating sizes of these other aircraft.
CSeries addresses a much smaller market. If anything, it is intended to compete with Embraer's E-190/195 which seats 100-to 120, and that's a job it appears to be doing quite effectively.
Embraer may eventually stretch it's E190 platform and it could have a re-engined stretch ready by 2018, but it's hard to see how they could come up with anything more than a me-too product that's a little late.
CSeries and Embraer's E-190/195 series do compete with Boeing's 737-500/600, but those who suggest we can compare for example, CSeries sales to 737 sales are misleading.
