General Dynamics' Earnings Up 18%

General Dynamics' Earnings Up 18%
Results for Bombardier competitor General Dynamics (Gulfstream) were posted yesterday. Overall their earnings came in with about a 3% surprise to what the street had been expecting - with Aerospace being the biggest contributor.

GD only really competes with Bombardier in the business jet realm and there mostly in the larger jet sizes. However, that being said, GD appears to be doing considerably better in the mid-size categories with deliveries there growing for the first time in a long while.

I won't post excerpts. You can easily find copies of GD's earnings results and conference call online.  Anyone long on Bombardier should learn as much as they can about Gulfstream which is BBD's biggest competitor in business jets.
