RE:RE:RE:Quebec

RE:RE:RE:QuebecCheck your figures again Spikey. CURRENT total gov. debt to GDP is about 34%.That is Canadian. The last time it was 66% was in 1997. You may be interested to note which party increases the debt and which one pays it down.  Hint: Conservatives are not that great with the finances. Virtually every time they manage to increase the debt.
So where does the money go you may ask? In Canada the Federal government collects a lot of loonies and toonies and 66% is returned to CANADIANS via, medical payments to provinces, Old age pensions etc.  In the USA, their debt is far worse than you claim and most of the cash goes to the military and tax breaks.
You are correct in saying the carbon tax is not included. True, that money does not go to general revenues and is directed to Green energy programs in provinces that participate. In a province such as Ontario, D. Ford killed that program so all Ontario taxpayers got money on their tax refund. I would have prefered the Green programs as I have a major one I hope to shortly undertake.
Enjoy the benefits of Canadian tax system.
