Are you talking to place a sale at 10.00$. If you own only few hundred share that wont make anything but if you own few thousend that will be very interesting to place a sale at 10.00$

The way the rules are set up. shorters do noy need any of our shares to short.. besides all the liquidity , then can counterfeit shares just by naked shorting them.. In the end...absolutely has no effect.

For the time being sadly that is true,  however,  the Cdn Securities Laws are currently under review and naked shorting is one of the activities that is being seriously considered for elimination.   I can only hope that it will end and soon.   It is a travesty that it has continued to go on unabated in our markets,  yet is banned in the US.    We are sitting

Typical self serving reply from the authorities and OSC. Just a few months ago IIROC gave a response to the MCMillan report that they found no increase in shortsellling or abuse with the rules as they are.     Don't hold your breath  because "under review" is their way of saying  GFY  !!

What is their argument for allowing naked short selling here?  According to them, what would be the benefits for investors in Canada that investors in the USA ( where it is not allowed ) don't have?

we were giving up for a quite some time, now it's the time to expose their crooked scheme. So just more and more sell orders above $10 is good. Once there is no more to sell for buck and so they will start panicking

You re right Itsalie !  As long as we get Sell orders I wonder, if All do this on this site and make Sell orders on all their BBD stocks, if we would not see a difference next week...  It would be interesting to follow that...  How to Get Rid of Shorters... I wonder also...  for institutions that refuse to obey to clients selling orders amount (and I have been one of them

It looks like naked short selling is rampant in us as well. i did the same and raised my asking price to cdn $ 5.54 but will raising prices really have any effect those big guys they can borrow shares as they wish if my broker or bank that hold my shares see i am asking 5.54 for share that is trading at cdn $ 0.67  they can still lown my shares since my order have 99.9% chance not to get executed!! beside shorter can sell what they do not own, no!

bicente, just spoke to Disnat about their refusal to accept a sell order Their reply is that they are refusing to accept a sell order higher than 9 times the share price at time of placing your order WW2

Further more, The trader I spoke to CONFIRM that yes if you put a sell order the house can not use these shares in anyway. They are frozen and can't be use to cover short seller. WW2

I bought yesterday at my 3rd try , $298.9999 , I had to buy "market" because the fixed price attempts didn't go through at $100 , $200 or $250 ... I sold at open , put in limit sell  of $375 but ended up getting $380 ... that 9 times stuff seems unfair ... others who tried to buy the dip didn't get through with TD and others ... the game is rigged in the market makers'
