So what does that have to do with Bombardier ???

Scum bag shorts desperate to draw blood from a stone. BT is gone and so is all the bad press but they will dig up whatever crumbs are left to serve their agenda.

Nonsense. I don't know whether they have actual legal recourse against BBD, but beginning legal action is certainly relevant. From the article: The French public transportation operator RATP and state-owned railway company SNFC have announced they will take legal action against Alstom-Bombardier for having submitted a firm bid for the execution of this award. For its part, CAF has ...more

The "French public transportation RATP" tells you all you need to know about the law suit. The French court will try to do all it can to help Alstom not pay money to Bombardier from Alstom. They got into the fray to protect Alstom's interest. So they could testify that Bombardier cut corners on the bid etc., so that the Bomber can be shown it was recless on it's bidding for the ...more

yes, this just to show what i have been saying in reality Canada is a plyground for France and USA... it shows how Airbus delet with the C series project in 2013 the said c series will not fly made bad publicity among thier customer , then whem P&W had problem with C series engins, Airbus ordered so many engins so bbd could not get enough engins to start oroducing jets, they were etting 1 ...more

Comac C919 will be the reward Airbus deserves and ensures the marketplace will remain competitive.

The cseries was walking in the middle of a battlefield between Airbus and Boeing, and you expected to not take anny hits. Even better, to be welcome?  Sorry but, commerce is a war. Welcome to reality. Airbus take it to not let him to Boeing after the final blow (300% of taxes from the USA).  And for ALSTOM, it s just a fantasm.  ALSTOM promised to the government that in exchange ...more

I think it clearly shows legacy problems we never dealt with. I am sure Alstoms lawyers see a legal reason to withdraw, but ultimately will keep the deal at a renegotiated price.
Comment by stockitnow on Feb 08, 2021 5:33pm
Some articles are saying this Alstom's way of trying to stop CAF from becoming second largest operator in France. It is alstom that is canceling the deal not bombardier. And bombardier had made the deal in good faith. It doesn't matter what Alstom is saying now thats its not feasible. The bought BT and then decides to not honor it. At the end who cares its Alstom's problem. All we want ...more

Actually, this have nothing to do with bbd now.  It s now a negociation between french people, and you know how it will end. What do you think they are going to do, go in justice wasting money, lose years not having trains they need, give this to the chinese, close a factoy in france :) So you know what will hapen. The state will enter into the negociation, ALSTOM will have what they ...more

those French Bast*rds,  what i am worrying about, if they go to court and end up honoring the contract, they may turn Around and take bbd to court (in France) and demand hundreds of thousands from bbd  what will French court decide ??, off course Alstom is right
Comment by Guillaume on Feb 08, 2021 6:13pm
LOL Do you know BT was sold? It s between the french gvnm and ALSTOM, not BBD. The RER-B is overcrowded, the Grand Paris, all of this projects are very politic, and the french gvrn is not going to fight against a french companie annyway. So not use to fantasm on this story, nothing will happen at the end, because nothing can happen. Alstom have a monopole now.
Comment by Shamhorish on Feb 08, 2021 7:41pm
i do not trust Alstom, i do not trust French Gov., i do not trust French court, i do not trust CDPQ or IQ Alstom can alawts turn arround and take bbd to court in french court!!! i do not trust those guys
